Sold my first item from the basement cleanout: a magic wand Christmas tree remote. (I received two as gifts a couple years ago.) Sold it for $12 in one of my local Facebook buy & sell groups.
I listed a couple of packs of Christmas cards and envelopes that didn’t sell, but I may have listed them too close to Christmas for people to need them.
I listed everything on OfferUp first, but only received one inquiry about the Christmas tree wand that didn’t go anywhere. I’ve listed several other items on OfferUp since them with no traction. I may not try them much longer since there hasn’t been much action, plus the app has given me a lot of “Sorry, something went wrong” messages when I open it.
I also did my first giveaway in my local Buy Nothing group on Facebook. I listed a big bag of bubble wrap and it was claimed the same day.
